First time ever trying curly extensions and I’m in LOVE! Curls held well after washing and letting hair dry. I did apply heat to blend my natural hair and had no issues. Would purchase this again!If you like a super full look I recommend two packs. I will update photos once my second pack arrives.I purchased 3 packs of the 18 inch teal tape in extensions and then 2 packs of the 20 inch teal tape in extensions. I received the 20 inch on May 28th and installed those the same day. I then received the 18 inch on June 1st and installed those the same day. I used my straightener and pliers to ensure I got the strongest hold. This is my first time using tape in extensions; I always went for clip ins or draw string ponies. I wanted something semi permanent so I wouldn't have to keep putting in so much work on my hair. First things first, if you're going to do this on your own, please read, read, read, watch videos, so many videos, tutorials, reviews - ready and watch the good and the bad. Read and watch the do's and don'ts. Once you do that and you feel like you're going to do a great job installing them on your own, then think a little more to confirm your decision and proceed. If possible, have someone or a professional do them for you. .. let's proceed. Next, ensure that you purchase good quality human hair and enough of it! My hair is sooo thick! I honestly could have went with probably 2-3 more packs (not sure if they would have all fit in my head, but would have tried lol) I still may get some more! Once you have your hair, next ensure you have all of the correct tools to use! Once you have all of that, the last thing you'll need is patience and strong arms! It takes quite some time to do because you need to ensure they are placed properly and ensure the tape wefts are placed together perfectly to ensure no water or sweat get in them!If you have a sensitive head, let say to like bleach.. you'll want to maybe test a few out for a couple weeks, because my head was itching sooo bad, which is honestly normal for tape in extensions, but it always itches lol!It has calmed down a bit but if you can't deal with your head itching for some time until the extensions set more comfortably then you may want to rethink this options. Once there in, its not as easy to get them out!A few tips:Ensure you wash your hair maybe 2-3 times with the correct shampoo (only) before installing.Ensure your hair is 100% dry, it cannot be damp at all!!Apply the first weft on top so that it grabs the right amount of hair. If too much hair is placed between the wefts, it's not going to last long, they will slip and come out.Do not sleep with them wet, EVER! The get matted, even if you braid them up at night.NEVER use conditioner on your roots with extensions in, only use on the tips of your extensions. Conditioner will cause the tape to slide right out of your hair. This goes for any products that condition or moist your hair as well!Brush your hair religiously! Keep your brush with you all the time, they tangle more than you'll ever know!You will need to style your hair everyday. Don't think these are a way to just get up and go, it's definitely not - there's a lot of work involved, but its so worth it! They're gorgeous! They give me so much more confidence! I love color by the way so I love a bold look!I hope this helps you!Just got these installed today. My hair dresser and her assistant were very pleased on how great the quality of them were. It is very silky, smooth, and straight which is great since I have naturally straight hair. Shipping took no time. I haven’t had them get tangled yet. Going to come back and edit after my first wash and style to see how they held up. So far I am very pleased with them. Customer service was very nice with assisting me and on my purchase.I loved the mystery aspect of it and that it was so inexpensive while still mantaining great quality i have ordered 3 so far and am still just as satisfied as the last each time if i could give ten thousand stars i would!I ORDERED THIS HAIR 2 DAYS AGO AND IT ARRIVED IN LIGHTENING FAST SPEED. I ORDERED TWO BUNDLES TO DO MY WHOLE HEAD, ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE THIN HAIR ALREADY AND DON'T WANT TO OVERDO IT WITH ADDING TOO MUCH HAIR. I WANT TO GIVE THE ILLUSION OF MY HAIR SO 2 BUNDLES WILL DO ME FINE. THE PACKAGING WAS STELLAR AND THE HAIR WAS SUPER SOFT AND SILKY. My hair is short and thin, but with these extensions it’s thick and beautiful ?EDITED AFTER WEEK 4. I purchased this with high hopes. I am starting to use tape in extensions now. I've used clip in extensions for many years. As I read some reviews my hopes fell as I heard stories of them getting ratty and having a synthetic smell when ironed. I figured, I'd do my best to enjoy them while I could. With any clip in extension I have ever purchased, they never fail to get ratty and tangle with my own hair the second after I wash them the first time. So, I thought I might experience the same thing with these tape ins. However, I am sure to use an alcohol free shampoo and conditioner with them, which I am sure might be key. I have always used very high end shampoos and conditioners and in reading all of their ingredients was surprised to find alcohol in each and every one I own. I went to Sally Beauty and discovered an alcohol free shampoo and conditioner brand named Aphogee. I use this line with the tape ins and to my relief, they are just fine. Of course they are not in mannequin condition after being worn over a week now, but they have not gone to a ratty, tangled mess. Another thing I did was run them through a flat iron the day I got them to see if I could detect any synthetic smell I had heard others mention. Nothing. I did not smell one thing unusual when applying heat. I would advise to probably use the lowest heat setting, but I don't detect anything unusual about these. I believe I will surely purchase again. Extensions just need some special treatment and they are worth investing in. Thank you!IT IS NOW WEEK 4. These are still shinier than my own natural hair. I heard these were bad quality so I expected a few weeks out of them. So, since I invest in some alcohol free hair stuff, maybe that is why. But, I would not knock these hair extensions in my own personal experience with them. I feel that you get your moneys worth very well. Not going to complain so far.
